Summary/Abstract: Rich deposits of chalky flint have been mined in the Reut River valley (Dniester’s right tributary) for ages. This activity is proved on several industrial sites dated by Upper Palaeolithic. Two of them – Ciutulesti 1 and Bobulesti 6 — yielded evidence of specialized production of blanks and export of some blades.
