Summary/Abstract: The study deals with the phonetic, grammatical and lexical changes of the Hungarian language since the transition of the political and economic system in Hungary in 1990. The author believes that three causes are responsible for the changes: information technology, globalism and linguistic economy. The changes are examined along the dimensions of quality, quantity and society.
