Summary/Abstract: In the article have been compared musical culture of romanticism of the XIX century and home rock culture of 70-80th. This comparative analysis has been made for the purpose of ascertaining common traits of the two cultural phenomena. It contains different aspects, such as: historical and art situation, thematic spectrum of the works of art, type of creative personality, specificity of musical language.
