Example of Historical Content Found in the Fourth Grade of Belgrade Primary Schools

Summary/Abstract: The research topic is rethinking the ways of improving the quality of students’ knowledge in the matters of nature and society. The aim was to examine empirically and to evaluate the effect of the experimental model of nature and society team teaching in a web environment on the quality of knowledge of the fourth-grade primary school students. The experimental method (experiment with parallel groups) was applied. Research techniques used were testing and working on pedagogical documentation. The data were collected by means of knowledge tests (initial and final) and protocols for data collection. The study included one hundred and seventy students, eighty-five students were in the control and eighty-five students were in the experimental group. Vital part of the research is creating a stimulating environment for learning where students are able to acquire knowledge through individual, individualized or collaborative processes of thinking, which are organized, maintained and evaluated by a team of teachers.
