Determination of the main socio-economic factors that influence the level of consumption of natural resources in society

Summary/Abstract: The author presents the main social and economic factors, led to establishment of consumer society, namely level of social inequality and type of stratification system, type of production, character of limitations of economic resources, level of society’s globalization and dominate social practice. Depending on features of the factors, society will develop towards excessive or sustainable consumption of natural resources.
