Summary/Abstract: The term "The zero hour" - is used in the German environment as a description of the period after surrender of German troops in May 1945. Metaforum expresses the contradictory feelings - hopelessness and hope at the end of a terrible war, the war which has dramatically changed mainly the Central Europe. Prague was also going through its "zero hour". Before the Second World war was Prague a place of intersection of mutually enriching cultures. After the Nazi occupation and the following course of events everything of this has gone. Prague half way of the twentieth century was a completely different city.
