Summary/Abstract: Achievements of Ukrainian scientists in advances of plants’ water regime research from the standpoint of historical and functional aspects are represented. It is shown that they made essential contribution to the different developments of this problem: creation and improvement of material and technical resources, elaboration and using of modern methods of plants’ water regime research, gain of important information in theoretical and practical contexts.
