Summary/Abstract: We may have noticed a recent both professional and lay public’s dis¬content with the activities of experts, which is a common part of judicial or administrative proceedings. Currently ongoing reform of the justice system pays attention to this area that remains neglected despite several attempted mendments. The author focuses on selected issues of expert activities in the Czech Republic, for instance, the legal status of experts or expert related state administration.
