Summary/Abstract: Safety becomes much more frequently analyzed issue connected with the concept of work. Big number of accidents at work is the reason for that situation. The aim of the article is the statistical analysis describing accidents at work in Poland in years 1993–2008. Additionally the article has been enriched by the prognosis of number of accidents at work in Poland for year 2009 set method minimum of mistake ex ante.
