Summary/Abstract: Consumer compulsive buying has been an important area of study in consumer behavior research. The goal of this study was to describe this phenomenon, to identify factors causing such behaviors and to indicate the results of the preliminary studies conducted among young consumers. Youth can be a group of special interest in this field because compulsive buying disorder appears to be widespread and beginning in late adolescence or early youth.
