Summary/Abstract: Translational Medical Care in Prosthetics – from benchside to bedside – need not be afraid of recent strawman approaches against “animalism” or “transhumanism” coming from some philosophers, dimly aware of the necessity and benefits of animal care in experiments and machine-aided improvements for the handicapped. Within our novel heuristic framework in Neurocognitive Anthropology, for interfacing Humanities and Neurosciences, we address here two relevant issues about “imaginaivety” in prosthetics, where intuitive, counter-intuitive and over-intuitive modes have been confused, with therapeutic implications for “phantom” body pain and “mind-controlled” limb prosthetics.
