Summary/Abstract: The study focuses on identifying the location and importance of regional and traditional products in the context of shaping the image of the region. As a special case under this theme examines the situation in the province (voivodeship) of Lower Silesia. The study indicated that there is a mutual relationship and interaction between regional and traditional products and the image of the region they come from. Analyzing the situation in Lower Silesia, it can be concluded that there is a strong possibility of growing importance of regional and traditional products in shaping the image of the region. At the moment this potential is poorly developed, a number of products formally belongs to traditional is relatively small compared to other Polish regions. Therefore, it is advisable to take actions to activate the local environment and promoting the development of the regional products market. As a result, it should also help to enhance the attractiveness of the image of the Lower Silesia region.
