Summary/Abstract: Suat Derviş, who is a woman writer who is not over-worked on Turkish literature, has recently begun to come to the agenda again. Especially Suat Derviş, known for his novels, Fosforlu Cevriye and Ankara Mahpusu, are among the representatives of critically realistic novels in Turkish literature, especially after 1940s. In this study, Suat Derviş's novel called Perihan from Aksaray was evaluated in terms of the elements of the defense. Suat Derviş, who deals with the change and transformation of the Turkish society between 1850-1950 in three main novels, reveals the effects of the historical periods on the individual.
