Summary/Abstract: Post-modernity claims to dismantle all rules and hierarchies in addition to removing the class discrimination in social life. It has an effort to achieve this claim as all individuals carry out similar consumption practices. Despite these claims, class and status differences keep its presence explicitly or implicitly in social space. In this process, it is observed that new devotee elites apply also class and status differences in a similar manner and replace the former elites. In this article, it is addressed how devotee elites, which have become apparent again with AKP government’s incumbency, manifest their status and differences in economic, political, and cultural context, and establish their class discrimination with the truly devotee base. The starting point while discussing the topic is Turner’s “triple status relationship” and Pareto’s “circulation of elite” approaches.
