Local leaders and their influence on development of tourism in Southern Podlasie region

Summary/Abstract: The accurate definition of the tourist leadership in a region and setting a leader specific tasks usually brings many positive functions: social, cultural, economic and natural. The aim of the article is to analyze behaviors of the local leaders of tourist section in the Southern Podlasie, as far as its attractiveness is observed, and moreover the answer to the question: what do their main activities involve and how crucial can be their influence on the development of tourism of the discussed region. The authors draw some final conclusions on the basis of questioners filled by respondents. These conclusions are, on one hand, a suggestion, and on the other hand, an attempt to initiate some actual enterprises which can contribute to achieve the organizational success in the region. The tourist attractiveness of the Southern Podlasie is a basic argument which makes this challenge worth doing.
