ART REFERENCES IN GABRIELA MELINESCU'S SWEDISH DIARIES

Summary/Abstract: Art References in Gabriela Melinescu's Swedish Diaries. The main focus of my article is the analysis of the relationship between literature and art that informs the five volumes of the Swedish Diaries. First, my intention is to examine the types and the role of art references that the writer introduced in her literary diary. Second, my article investigates the imagery that Gabriela Melinescu evokes by means of her own book illustrations.
