Summary/Abstract: This study aims to determine the codes of ethics in tour guiding profession in the context of utilitarianism. In this context, semi-structured interviews were conducted with eleven tour guides to collect data. Content analysis was implemented for data analysis. Hence, the codes of ethics in tour guiding profession were determined under three themes: Professional Liabilities, Relationships Among Tour Gudies, Relationships with Tourists and Stakeholders. Those themes were composed of respectively two, three and two categories. This study executes the first empirical research on the codes of ethics in tour guiding. In the study, 28 codes of ethics were determined for tour guiding profession and practical implications were recommended. Furthermore, evaluations on future research were represented as a conclusion in the study.
