Evaluation of Scientific Studies Related to the Use of Digital Technology in Preschool Education

Summary/Abstract: This research was conducted to evaluate the scientific studies related to the use of digital technology in preschool education. The document analysis method was applied in the current study and the collection and interpretation of the data was done in two stages. In the first phase, the key words assumed to be directly related to the topic title and the study was searched to determine the studies on the use of digital technology in preschool education by applying the databases of the Google Scholar and National Thesis Center. In the second phase, these studies were examined in terms of some criteria such as the type of the study, year of publication, language, university, subject, technology, research design, research method, sample, and data collection tools. The study was limited to the studies carried out in 2010 and after. Scientific studies consisted of MA, PhD, and articles. In this respect, 49 scientific studies carried out in 2010-2016 were included in the scope of the study. Scientific studies were discussed and analyzed according to the determined criteria. Concerning the results obtained from the research, suggestions were addressed to field specialists and trainers.
