Information as the determinant of effective implementation of logistic supply chain processes

Summary/Abstract: The paper attempts to present the importance of information processes in the supply chain. Indicated that efficient management of data and material flow in the supply chain is possible through the use of appropriate information technologies aided by increasingly powerful computer systems. In what method was used and the systems has a direct impact on the quality of information. Information plays a leading role in supply chain management. Building a competitive advantage is not possible without access to accurate information. Thus, treating information as a strategic resource that determines the scope and level of cooperation of enterprises operating in the market is a determinant of effective management of logistics processes in supply chain.
