Summary/Abstract: The present paper aims to bring a contribution to the repertoire of ecclesiastic monuments in the mountainous region of Zărand. This would not have been possible if a decorated stone block hadn’t been discovered in the summer of 2008, etched with a Christian inscription and Christian symbols. The stone block allowed us to identify the exact location of the medieval church in the village of Secaș. This paper also aims to analyze a stone block and to decipher its message and decoration.
