Summary/Abstract: Financial capability is one of the research areas that in a global scale bring a lot of attention. The term does not have a clear equivalent in a Polish language, however translation trials point towards financial consciousness. Nonetheless this term does not fully represent the sense of financial capability. Article depicts basic concepts of financial capability essentials and is proposing this term’s placement among related terms. Moreover article shows complexity and ambiguity of financial capability term.
