Summary/Abstract: In recent years, the quality of teachers is a subject that has often been discussed. Therefore, The Ministry of National Education has put in place a new program to ensure the more qualified education of the candidate teachers who have been appointed. The purpose of this study is to develop a measurement tool to determine the attitudes of candidate teachers towards the content of this candidate teacher training program. 129 candidate teachers from 20 different branches participated in the research. In order to determine the structural validity of the Candidate Teachers Attitude Scale (CATAS), principle components analysis, factor analysis and varimax vertical rotation process was held. As a result of exploratory factor analysis, eleven items were extracted from the initial 36-item scale, and a scale consisting of 25 items, which explains 68,166% of the total variance with 6 factors, was obtained. The Cronbach Alpha (internal consistency) coefficient of the scale was calculated as .90. These results prove the scale to be valid and reliable.
