Summary/Abstract: Old Anatolian Turkish and Ottoman Turkish period medical books were written in abundance. Many people were involved in the treatment of diseases, especially during the Ottoman period. Physicians transferred both knowledge and experience to these books. Thus, they benefited their students and also made important contributions to future generations. During this period, translations were also made in the field of medicine. One of the translations is Tercüme-i Ebubekir Er-Razi. The exact date of the writing of the work is unknown. It is thought to have been written at the beginning of the 18th century.. It is an important translation written in the field of pharmacology during the Ottoman period. This translation was written by Ali Munsi (Bursavi), one of the famous physicians of the time. There are plenty of materials in terms of semantics within the work. Each word is given its own meaning. In other words, there is much material related to dictionary science in this work. Analogous prepositions are frequently used. In addition to the basic meanings of the words, alternative meanings are used throughout the work. It aims to enrich the meaning by providing abundant clarifications. In this work, Tercüme-i Ebubekir Er-Razi will be evaluated in terms of semantics. This work cannot be discussed much in terms of the intensity of emotion, because it is a scientific work of its time. However, the number of Turkish words used, phrases expressed, metaphorical meanings of words, analogies made with different prepositions, etc. were used in a different manner. The study will be explained utilizing numerical data.
