Research on the Formation of National Identity of Young People Living Beyond the Borders of Hungary

Summary/Abstract: On behalf of the Research Institute for National Strategy Századvég Sociological Research Team did a comprehensive research on Hungarian young people living in the Carpathian Basin. The research focuses on the national identity, and the dynamics of its changing of young Hungarians living beyond the borders of Hungary, but we also came to know their opinion on being a Hungarian, on the concept of homeland and assimilation. The focus group discussions (13) were conducted by professionally trained moderators and local organizers in May and June 2014. This study summarizes the results.
