Summary/Abstract: The present paper intends to make a typologycal comparison of Boris Pasternak’s and Mikhail Larionov’s aesthetical systems. The comparison is based on the deep tendencies generated by the shift from impressionism to post-impressionism in Russian art in the early 20th century and can be connected with a new type of artistical perception, the so-called simultaneous type of perception of time and space. Apart from the presentation of possible biographical connections the present paper brings to light the following typological similarities between Pasternak’s and Larionov’s aesthetical systems: the extraordinary level of autoreflection, the importance to preserve the continuation of traditions, a new artistic language, the importance of their impressionistic beginning and its synthetic correction on a higher level which are all expressed in Pasternak’s aesthetic concepiton and Larionov’s “luchism”
