Territorial or regional? Which term applies best to the studios of the RomanianTelevision?

Summary/Abstract: The main issue of this study is which term applies best for those studios of the Romanian television which are not located in Bucharest. The author starts from the hypothesis that the legal expression (territorial studios) is not established in the common speech and does not apply to the more or less unified European terminology. The author of the essay argues that the term „regional studio” would be closer to the socio-cultural context and the identity making process these studios are involved in.
