Summary/Abstract: In my research, I analyzed the appearance of Egerszegi Krisztina in Hungarian women's magazines. My hypothesis was that those social changes, which appeared after the fall of the communist regime ( the period in which Egerszegi Krisztina became popular) boost the energy of the narratives about the sport woman. This socio-historical context helped to preserve the interesting her career and person, an interest that did not fade after 1996. My research points out the elements, which determined the interpretations of the appearance of sports star in the context of the society, and how celebrities can keep their fame.
