Characteristic of benzene content in organs and tissues of tailless amphibians from habitats with various degree of pollution

Summary/Abstract: Benzene content in organs and tissues of tailless amphibians from the habitats different on the degree of contamination (sewage area Dniprovsko-Orelsky nature reserve of chemical enterprises and control biotopes of the Dniprovsko-Orelsky nature reserve) was studied. The coefficients of benzene bioaccumulation in organs and tissues were calculated. An estimation of organs as the benzene micro - and macro concentrators is given. Comparative analysis of the benzene accumulation in aquatic and terrestrial amphibians has been prepared.
