Summary/Abstract: Comparative data on the species composition and quantitative characteristic of soil mesofauna of Pinetum myrtillosum and Quercetum urticosum under condition of moisure deficiency are presented. The sharp reduction of species diversity, invertebrates’ number and biomass under condition of moisure deficiency is observed. It is particularly manifested in the oak woods.
