Summary/Abstract: In 2004 two albums with sports photos from the beginning of the 20th century were accidentally found. The albums contained records of the summer and winter trainings of dr István Somodi, winner of silver medal in high jump, of the skating life in Kolozsvár, and of the summer and winter sports competitions organized on the territory of the Monarchy. Ottó Manouschek was the name of the photographer; he was the Vienna correspondent of the Sport World in 1905. The Manouschek albums provided serious number ofpictures for the dr Somodi István Memorial Album published in 2008. In 1905, Ottó Manouschek was the correspondent of the most prestigious sports magazine of the age, the weekly Sport World.
