E-government an innovative partner in information society

Summary/Abstract: Local governments play important role in the development of information society. In the article authors are trying to present public information system and its’ role in the society. The article is a short synthesis of existing E-government solutions. E-government is broadly described as the creation and delivery of information and services inside government and between government and the public using electronic information and communication technologies. The article shows many challenges that face the evolution of E-government. Citizens are worried about privacy and security, so government will have to be clear about how database information will be used and shared. This innovation is now in the process of being rolled-out statewide.
