Minor Place Names in the Otročiněves District

Summary/Abstract: This text discusses the research and collection of minor place names in Otročiněves, one of the villages that belonged to the former court district Křivoklát. Minor places from the whole area will be collected for the purposes of my doctoral study. This text is the first step and it attemps to describe main tendencies and changes that reveal in a complex of minor place names during the time. The collected minor place names were compared with the list of minor place names from survey for the Dictionary of Minor Place Names in Bohemia made in 1963 and with the list called Theresian Cadastre (from 18th century). This text is based on a direct research. Informants who took part on it were divided into three groups according to age and they recorded the minor place names into the blind maps made for this purpose.
