Summary/Abstract: This study discusses the ways of creating names for Christmas trees in Moscow in winter 2011/2012. The analysis demonstrates that the ways of nominalisation are based on onymisation and transonymisation witch are applied to different types of chrematonyms. The naming of Christmas trees in Moscow reflects cultural phenomena characteristic for the 21th century.
