Summary/Abstract: The article highlights the contribution of religious convents to the Christian life of the Polish nation. The various charisms of individual religious orders united in the fulfillment of the evangelical counsels of chastity, poverty and obedience have made a great contribution to the upbringing of children and adolescents. The author gives examples of Benedictine, Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul, Ursuline, or spiritual daughters of Bl. Boleslawa Lament with her educational system from the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, which are still current.
