Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the history of the staging of antique dramas in the Television Theater during the period of the Polish People’s Republic till 1989. Author describes wonder of theater of television to chronological manner, in years fiftieth, sixtieth, seventieth was glad in rare popularity in Poland XX century. Article contains particularly analysis issued pieces for the value of literary and theatrical. Analysis of television implementations is proving classical dramas huge power which have Greek poets. Their characters often become for Poles companions difficult fate, but the theatre was always present as a partner. Despite the difficult political situation in the country and technological imperfections, television theatre productions have enjoyed recognition recipients and they was really important social and performing events.
