Summary/Abstract: „La Beata Ungheria. Saggi sulla cultura ungherese” by Sárközy Péter, Professor of Hungarian Linguistics and Literature at the La Sapientia University of Rome contains essays and studies on Hungarian and Italian literature, and cultural relations. The fi rst part of the volume deals among others with the impact of Italian literature on the Hungarian literature. The second part contains studies about the Hungarian nobles, politicians and writers who traveled often in Italy, about the relation between the aesthetics of Benedetto Croce and poetry of József Attila, and the possibilities of drawing a comparative history of Central European and/or Central Eastern European people’s literatures. Sárközy also writes about how the 1956 revolution is presented in the Italian literature.
