Summary/Abstract: Between 1896 and 2010, Hungary was represented on the Olympic Games by 134 professional military servicemen. Their efficiency is clearly indicated by the fact that 29 of them became Olympic champions, 23 were medalists, 23 scored Olympic points and 59 were participating. The author has already investigated and processed their data from many points of view. This time he concentrates on data concerning the role of Transylvania and the town of Cluj-Napoca in the lives of these excellent sportsmen. Hungary has 25 Olympians who are both professional military servicemen and have some kind of bonding with Transylvania. Cluj-Napoca has played an important role in the lives of two of them.
