Summary/Abstract: In our days social media is not newness, millions of people use it worldwide. Sportsmen and sport managers as well. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) recognized the importance of web 2.0 platforms and made guidelines for participants and other accredited persons among others at the London 2012 Olympic Games. The article introduces that point by point and has a look at coming up questions. Additionally the article analyses the knowledge of the guidelines in Hungary.Finally it gives recommendations for the future.
