Summary/Abstract: French-Belgian author Paul Emond’s drama volume was translated by Judit Károly and published by Napkút publishing house in Budapest in 2014. The volume contains three one-act plays, situated somewhere on the axis of comedy/tragicomedy/burlesque/farce, but also functioning as parodies of these genres. The reviewer considers that their common features are that they are set in public places, their characters are failed ordinary people living their lives in endless monologues, their main problem being loneliness and the impossibility of ever reaching happiness in their love life. Society is partially to blame for this, but most of all it is their fault: ​their pettiness, lack of empathy and selfishness.
