Summary/Abstract: The article is an analysis of the sermons delivered by Fr. Jerzy Popiełuszko in the years 1982-1984 during Masses for the Fatherland. Preaching on the subject of freedom, he made use of the triad: the dignity of the human person; freedom, despite the system of slavery; freedom in the fight against evil. Fr. Jerzy based his teaching on the teachings of the Church. St. Maximilian, Pope John Paul II and Cardinal Wyszyński were models for him. The teaching of Fr. Popiełuszko is kerygmatic, deeply rooted in the teaching of Christ. Thus it is universal, always valid.
