Summary/Abstract: In the period between 1990 and 2000, the review Korunk emphatically reflects a track of public life which can be interpreted and evaluated as a continuation of the review’s original mission established by its first chief editor, Dienes: namely, that the review should be an authentic representative and chronicler of the life and ambitions of Hungarians from Transylvania (Romania). The article analyzes the thematic issues of Korunk on journalism, which published scholarly articles or more traditional journalistic texts on fields of public life (within which several thematic categories, such as problems of the churches, the case of the Hungarian university, the majority-minority relationship, or the problem of Transylvanian character).
