Summary/Abstract: This study undertook a spatial analysis of the competitiveness of the fruit and vegetable processing and preserving branch with the efficiency OCRA indicator. From 2008 to 2015, it determined the ranking of Hungarian counties and Budapest in terms of competitiveness using the data obtained from the SBS database each year. It was also an issue whether companies or territorial units producing higher production value are more competitive than those with lower revenues.Calculations have been made by a widely usable method based on controlled and practically com-pletely available datasets. This analysis also to draws the attention to the usability of SBS database as a source of basic data for competitiveness and other business management calculations.In addition to operative decision support, the established ranking also supports the creation and formulation of corporate and even territorial development strategies.
