Economic Crisis and Circulation

Summary/Abstract: Circular mobility from one home to another and vica versa has become frequent during the era of globalisation. This paper provides empirical evidence from the long-term international circular migrants arriving Hungary in the economic crisis period of 2009-2012 in comparison with the previous period of 2006-2008. The principal aim of this paper is to quantify some statistical effects of economic crisis on the international circulators. The authors embed the results to recent socio-economic migratory context and try to find possible explanations of the effects measured.
