The Medal in the Memory of Poltava Battle

Summary/Abstract: The article is a publication of a rare medal from the stock of the National Museum of History of Moldova. The medal produced in 1709 by F. N. Müller (1664-1718), German master, played a significant role in making the contemporaries aware of victory of Peter I over the Swedes. The medal tells about the increased interest towards Russia abroad, its increased international relations and strengthened position in the European political arena.
