Summary/Abstract: During the period between the two World Wars the relationship between the Churches of the Latin and of the Greek rite it has not been cloudless. Serious discussions came about due to legal dissimilarities and even more pointedly in consequence of national antagonism. The concordat worked out in 1929 between the Apostolic See and Romania favored the Rumanian nationals. The Rumanian Act of Parliament on religious instruct¬tions in 1928 didn’t guarantee the equality among the Churches. I would like to illustrate in my paper, substantiated with documents from different archives, how influential political changes have been on the people whether one belongs to a particular rite or decides to leave it.
