Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the problem of the existence and spreading of the phenomenon of irreligion. The author conducted an analysis of the term “irreligion”. Three types have been underlined: 1) atheists, 2) indifferent people, 3) non-religious with a positive attitude to religion. In addition, the article mentions the basic causes of irreligion and gives a critical evaluation of them.
