Summary/Abstract: The experiences of the Catholic Church collected after the II Vatican Council showed the Catholic Legislator that the issue of mixed marriage belongs to the most difficult ecumenical problems, which await a full solution from the Catholic Church. Because of this demand further exploration into the issue of mixed marriages has been made. Problems connected with matrimonia mixta – mixed marriages – in their ecumenical aspect of different Christian communities has always been among the especially most difficult, especially because of different reactions in the practice of Christian life. The regulations of the Catholic Church have been formed in relation to concrete conditions of life in this area and must take into account practical results appearing in the sphere of pastoral work. As for the justification of the analysis of this issue, it seems ,,at first glance” to not be original, as the literature of the subject quoted in the notes is quite large in number and it may seem that all on the subject has already been said. Nevertheless, the effort of a profound reflection has been taken up in order to state whether there are reasons for the possibility of considering this issue in the spirit of ecumenical and inter-faith dialogue.
