Summary/Abstract: Initially, in Kosovo crisis management diplomatic steps have been taken to resolve the conflict through peaceful: OSCE mechanisms- Kosovo Verifying Mission; NATO who came in support of OSCE and held Allied Rapid Reaction Corps; The Conference at Rambouillet that was a failure. As a result of such diplomatic attempts that have not helped to mediate the conflict, NATO Secretary General gave the order to execute airstrikes. After the military intervention the UN mission- UNMIK had the power to shape and drive the political and civil society. International communities have taken into consideration the need for the implementation of democratic institutions, a functional market economy and minority rights protection.
