Summary/Abstract: Social exclusion, which is defined as a loss (disturbance) of social cohesion, presents impossibility certain society members to use the existing possibilities for social participation and to keep pace with the development of the society in which they live. This paper analyses the social exclusion of the youth, which can be experienced in different manners due to the impact of different factors. A special review is given to the social exclusion of the youth at age between 15 and 19 (NEET) (Not included in Education, Employment and Training). The paper gives analyses of the risk factors that influence on the youth social exclusion and certain more important findings about the existence and the treatment of the socially excluded youth in other countries are presented, as well. In addition, findings about the existence and the treatment of the socially excluded youth in the Republic of Macedonia and possible policies for their social inclusion and development are analysed.
