Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the structural and semantic types of official street names Wielun. The most common structural types are: a) the names without the creation onomastics, eg Krótka, św. Barbary, b) the names of the creation onomastics, such as street names formed from the names of places and topographical: Częstochowska, Śląska and c) the name of the complex, Krakowskie Przedmieście. The semantic division can be distinguished: a) the names of streets from proper names (nomina priopria), for example, from the names of places: Sieradzka, from geographical names: Śląska, commemorative names from the names: Joanny Żubr, b) street names from ordinary words (nomina appellativa): topographic street names eg Graniczna, named after the street names of people, eg Kosynierów, cultural street names, eg Przemysłowa, natural street names, eg Kasztanowa, c) the street names from the names of commemorative events and historical facts, eg. 18 stycznia the most expansive commemorative names.
